Description:
Austin TXHi ! My name is Jase Jace is a big, gentle, lovable mixed breed who wants pets more than anything else.  We’re unsure what breeds he is, but likely there is Great Pyrenees and GSH Pointer in there somewhere because of some physical attributes. He is a cuddler and has been very friendly to every human we've introduced him to.  He knows some basic commands, is housebroken, stays off the couch, and even lets us give him a bath with no complaints!  He is around 6 years old and relatively low energy, and while he'd rather be inside than the back yard, he gets very excited for a walk. If you pull out his leash, he will meet you dancing at the door! He is great on leash, but will pull a little toward cats or squirrels, and has barked at neighborhood cats pretty adamantly through the windows, so he is probably best in a home without cats.  We haven't tried crating Jace, but he is wonderful loose in the house on his own.  He hasn’t been tested in a home together with another dog, but we think he’d be good with older, calmer dogs if introduced properly. We know he had doggie buddies at the shelter where he briefly stayed. We have not introduced him to kids, but he loves adults so much and he’s very gentle, so there's no reason to think he wouldn't like kids.Jace has an unknown chronic condition, possibly IBS or colitis, that causes him to have loose stool most of the time.  This doesn't affect our normal routine at all, as we try to let our dogs out often throughout the day anyway. He usually goes to the bathroom around 3-4 times a day, but he has never had an accident in the house. He never appears to be in pain and according to our vet has likely had this issue his whole life. It would probably be best for his adopters to be home often enough to let him out occasionally. Despite his minor chronic condition, Jace is a true gem. If you want a calm, affectionate buddy, then he’s your guy!For more information, please email us at srgdrr.inc@gmail.com.
