Description:
Meet Mack!  This handsome boy was born in October of 2017 and weighs 85 pounds.

Sadly, Mack experienced abuse and neglect before coming into rescue, making him slow to trust new people.  He made great progress working with a trainer and learned that humans are not so bad. He is easily persuaded into being your friend with any kind of treat.  Food is definitely the way to his heart!  He also loves a good brushing or petting; he's not picky.

His adopter should be committed to working with Mack, to help continue building his confidence and become the dog he is meant to be.  He needs a quiet home without young children.

Mack is such a sweet, playful, smart, and funny boy.  Once he trusts you, he loves so hard. He will stay by your side as a loyal companion, keeping you company wherever you go.  He makes a great foot warmer on those cold nights, and if allowed, he would love to sit in your lap.  There is always plenty of room for snuggles.

Sweet Mack has had seizures in the past, but they are completely controlled with his current medication.  The medicine is not expensive, and his lab work can be done during his normal yearly exam.

Mack needs a doggy companion in his forever home, because he loves to play and wrestle. Preferably, a bigger dog that can handle some roughhousing.  Also, his doggy companion should be easy going.  He doesn't like bossy dogs.

When it comes to cats, it’s like they don't even exist.  He thinks they are pretty boring creatures.

Mack loves going for walks and is great on a leash.  He is so smart.  Unlike most Great Pyrenees, he listens well and follows commands!  He knows the commands for Sit, Down, Stay, Wait, Outside, Leave it, Place, Crate, and Go To Bed.  He will even go into the crate on his own, when he wants a little down time. He is house trained and dog-door trained.

Lovely Mack is a complete gentleman in the house and can be trusted fully when left unsupervised.  Except for with paper.  For some reason he loves to shred paper.  He does great in the car and loves to go anywhere you will take him.

Mack will melt your heart and be your faithful friend forever.
