Hank Aaron is a Hound mix boy that was born in November 2019 and weighs 62 pounds.
Hank is a special boy with a lot of love to give - happy, playful, and loveable. He had a rough start in his original home, but now we’re doing everything we can to find him a place to finally call his forever home. We are not sure exactly what happened in his previous life, but as a result, he is a little fearful of men when first meeting them. He’s not aggressive, just shy. He prefers to sneak up behind you to sniff your ankles when you’re not looking and slowly introduce himself, however, he loves the (human) ladies and gets so excited to make new female friends. Once he gets his initial sniff to verify you’re a good person, he won’t leave you alone.
Hank's favorite thing to do is lean and stick to you like velcro. He’s very cuddly and just wants to be held and hugged. He is a little on the larger side and does have a lot to learn about being on a leash, but a well-sized harness and good strong leash will go a long way. He’s always excited to go for a car ride and will even offer to drive if you don’t want to. Hank loves to play with all sorts of toys or chew on a good antler or Benebone. He does love to make canine friends, but a Meet & Greet is required if you have a dog at home because he can be a little picky. Hank would do best in a home with a fenced-in backyard rather than an apartment and would do best with bigger kids/teenagers because he loves to give heavy hugs.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
