Description:
Tokyo is a male Hound mix rescued in Texas. Our veterinary partner estimates that Tokyo is 8 months old at the time of intake in June 2020.  Tokyo is good with people of all ages and other dogs.  Tokyo came to us in rough condition and suffering from a skin infection.  But he has received the medical care he requires, and he is ready to set out on the path to his happy forever! Tokyo loves to be next to his humans and one of his favorite past times is cuddling. He is very sweet but is still a bit fearful of the humans in his life.  He needs a patient, quiet home with very low traffic in and out or separate space that Tokyo can call his own.  Tokyo will need a confident, friendly dog in his forever home who will play/interact with Tokyo.  He is house trained and loves his long walks but is also content being on the couch and being snuggled.  If there are children in Tokyo's forever home, they should be older children who can respect Tokyo's needs during his transition period.  Tokyo loves other dogs, and is thriving with the basic training he is receiving. Tokyo listens well and wants to learn.  If you have room in your heart for this special boy, please apply online to adopt Tokyo at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org.

RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue.  All pets are also current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
