Hey Ya'll, my name is Ercot! I came from Texas.. Ive lived with dogs of all sizes and have done great!  Ive also lived with cats and have mixed feelings depending on the individual cat's personality.. some of them hiss and are scary but others are nice and i like to play with them.  I had this thing called distemper, but I fought like heck and got through it.. now I have a mild tic that thankfully doesn't affect my day to day at all. Through that all, I grew very close to my foster mom, so I latched onto her as my "favorite". I have a tendency to be protective over her when other people are around, even children. Because of that, I shouldn't go to a home with any children. I will tolerate them if treats are involved though.  Im looking for someone who is patient and will make sure to put me away when company comes over to visit (unless they want to be barked and snarled at until theyve given me enough treats to earn my trust). My foster mom says im a major velcro dog, i like to follow you everywhere!  I also have a slight obsession with plastic (don't ask - not sure why). I've caught on to "drop it" and do well listening to that. If needed, my foster mom will have to grab it out of my mouth, which I don't have a problem with. I also know "sit" snd "shake".  Im 90% potty trained and like to go for walks.   I love all toys and playing fetch and tug!  I like to run around outside but then i like to come in and cuddle.  I sleep good in my kennel at night, but in stressful situations ive shown barrier aggression and have turned into a totally different dog in there.!  Am I a bit quirky? Sure.. but that just makes me even more fun and unique.
