This big handsome hunk is Boomer and he is a 3 year old (DOB: 3/12/18), 80 lbs, lab mix who wants nothing more than to be your very best friend.  He is the most happy-go-lucky pup I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and has the best puppy dog eyes that will just melt your heart.  Everything is a new adventure to Boomer and he does it with all of the excitement in the world.  I have never seen such a big dog get so much air with his happy hops.  He loves going outside to run and play and now that he has his new found confidence, going out to meet new people and dog friends alike is the highlight of his life.  He loves going on walks and would like his forever home to continue doing this with him.  Him and his foster brother could play outside for hours just running around and wrestling.  But once that energy is out, Boomer will snuggle up with you on the couch with the most amazing snuggle skills.  And if you're watching something sad on TV, don't you worry, Boomer knows and he will be right there to give you some comforting kisses.  Boomer is just a big giant goofball that will always put a smile on your face.  He is both house and crate trained on a schedule for up to 8 hours.  He will sleep quietly in his crate at night but he would much rather sleep with you in your bed.  Did I mention he is the best snuggler around?  This boy is just looking for the right home to give him the love and attention he deserves.

With all of this being said, Boomer has some needs that require him to have a very specific type of adopter, a very dog savvy adopter.  Boomer had a very tough start to his life and for that reason needs a lot of stability and confidence building throughout his life.  He is not a fan of strangers coming into his home without properly getting a chance to meet them out front first.  Once that part is done, you will be his best friend forever.  But a quieter home without children will be needed for this guy.  Boomer will also require ongoing training to keep his confidence up and his bond strong with his person.  Doggie training classes would be amazing for Boomer.  And while Boomer is working hard on his resource guarding, he still has work to do.  Though some treats go a very long way for this smart, food motivated lug.  Boomer does amazingly with all dogs but no cats for this guy.  Not because he doesn't love them, but because he has never heard of personal space before, think bull in a China shop.  Lastly, Boomer will need his own secure fenced in backyard (privacy fence if in high traffic area) where he can romp and play to his heart's content while feeling perfectly safe and at home.  Boomer has come such a long way in his foster home, he is just looking for that perfect home that will help him continue to grow and in return will love you unconditionally with the best cuddles and most amazing puppy dog eyes you have ever seen.  So, are you that dog savvy person who can open your home and heart to this sweet amazing boy?
