Description:
Name: Monroe (Male)Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VT Good with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: UnknownGood with kids: NoCrate trained: YesHouse trained: Yes Monroe is a confident, very sweet dog who loves people. He has some energy when he is awake and he loves to go for regular walks (every 4 hours). It is very important to walk and feed him on a schedule. He has a sensitive right paw due to a previous injury, and needs to be walked on soft surfaces. He walks with a slight limp, however, this does not prevent him to be an active, playful and a happy dog. On his walks he has made some dog friends but sometimes he does not like a dog and therefore slow intro is best. He loves playing with squeaky soft rubber-toys and he would love to have a human who would puzzle with him and teach him more commands for a treat (he knows sit, down and is working on stay). He loves back rubs and soft dog beds with blankets to take a nap. He would like to be the only dog and get a lot of attention from his human companion. Once he settles in he would make a wonderful loyal dog and you won’t regret welcoming him into your home, life and heart. Monroe would love a backyard with grass where he could enjoy being outdoors and play with his human and go potty if he urgently needs to. A calm (he does not like loud traffic) neighborhood where he could go for shorter walks on the grass. He would love a furever home with structure and where he is the center of attention getting his regular backrubs and play- and learning time. He would do best in a calm environment where he feels safe an unconditionally loved to grow older and to trust his human completely. He so much deserves it! Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line.
