Rufus is a male puggle.  Just under 4 months old. He came to us after a family purchased him from a pet store then their landlord would not allow them to keep him in the home.  This boy is full of energy and constantly on the go.  He would do best with an active family that can keep him well exercised.  He has been with other dogs and done fine but he does play rough.  Due to his roughness we are looking for a home with no young children.  Rufus would benefit from further obedience training. He has been started on crate training and is doing well but will need further work on house training in his new home.   He is up to date on his puppy vaccines,  current on preventatives and microchipped. He is not yet neutered due to his age therefore will require a neuter deposit of $75. This is returned to the adopter once they have him neutered by their veterinarian and provide us with proof of it being done.   Neutering is a requirement of adoption and will be in the adoption contract.   If interested in possible adoption please go to and complete the online adoption application

If you are interested in adopting please read the information here and then complete our online adoption application. One of our volunteers will contact you once the application has been processed.  If this animal is listed as a courtesy posting for another rescue please go to their website to complete the online adoption application.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
