This friendly pup is Tinker. He is a 10+ year old Rat Terrier mix who weighs 24.8 pounds. Tinker came to us with his friend Shy - they are a bonded pair who will need to be adopted together. These two cuties ended up at Wish Bone after the unfortunate loss of their loved ones. They are in a foster home and have adapted remarkably well despite their loss. Shy and Tinker love each other and we assume that they've been a duo for their whole lives. Tinker is a funny, happy, fun-loving, active, and affectionate guy. He is happiest when he’s hanging out with his people and Shy. Tinker is a social dog who loves getting pets and attention. He loves running around the backyard in his foster home and plays nicely with his toys - though he prefers not to share them with other dogs. Fetch and tug are two of Tinker's favorite activities - plus all that activity helps burn off some of his energy, so he'll take a nice nap during the day.  This sweet boy is also potty trained!  Tinker prefers to interact with his foster parents and Shy over the family dog. He gets a bit too overexcited when he sees the cat, so no cats would probably be best. We are requesting no children under 13 years old for these two. The minimum adoption fee for Shy & Tinker is $225 for the pair, plus a $12 fee per dog for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
