Katniss is not in the CARE foster system. He is listed as a courtesy and CARE is not responsible for any issues with the cat or the adoption process.“Having once been the “King” of my domain, it’s been a big step down to be treated like a … you know..em... er... a cat.  My relationship with my human was much like that of human males; love ‘em to pieces one minute and hide out for days making her wonder where the hekkin I’d gone. It wasn’t easy living in a house-full of females.  I’d be happy to become part of a household where males could at least get a vote. If you’re looking for an independent, smart and fun-loving guy open to new experiences (I recently had canned food for the first time in my life and think it’s pretty great), I could be the one.”

Katniss is very fond of his naps and will altername among all the soft and comfy surfaces you have. He’s an introvert that seems pretty content with his own company.  Over time he will most likely warm up and make up for the time he lost having great pets.  Katniss’ life-long owner recently passed, leaving him hoping for a roof over his head and yummy food.  Katniss has no experience with dogs, but lived with other cats.  Adoption fee is $100, call 919-935-3792 for more info.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
