Zuzu is a three-year-old malamute that came to CHAAMP after her familys overseas travels were taking time away from giving her the life she deserves. They made the decision to reach out to rescue so that we can help find her a loving forever home. Zuzu was very much loved, affectionate, and house-trained. She walks well on a leash and is not destructive in a home. She is used to living with children but we are recommending kids 10+ for her. She has done well seeing other dogs on walks but would prefer not to have to share a home with another furry companion. No small animals as well. If you are interested in adopting or fostering this dog, please complete an application online via our website: https://www.chaamp.org/ or email: CHAAMPapplication@gmail.com for an application. Your application helps CHAAMP determine a good match based upon your lifestyle, other pets, etc. We are happy to work with you. A home visit is required prior to all adoptions. You can visit the Malamutes once youre approved for adoption. Alternatively, you may volunteer and learn how positive reinforcement brings out the best in Malamutes. CHAAMP accepts applications from Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington DC. ADOPTION FEES ~Adult dogs (two-seven years old): $275.00 ~Older dogs (eight years old or over): $100.00 ~Puppies (6 months - 1 year): $350.00 ~Puppies (under 6 months): $375.00 All Malamutes are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccines. Adoption fees help us cover these costs. Puppy fees are higher because they require more vet visits for vaccines. CHAAMP IS NOT A SHELTER. We are volunteers covering a 7-state region. CHAAMP is a Rescue Affiliate Member of the Alaskan Malamute Assistance League (AMAL). Our rescue efforts are coordinated locally. For a list of AMAL rescues in the USA and Canada, please visit https://www.malamuterescue.org/ CHAAMP is also a proud rescue member of the Pet Professional Guild.
