DOGS DESCRIPTION:

Take a look at Cricket! This cute gal is looking for a new home...shes super sweet and good with people once she trusts them and other dogs. Cricket will do well with a patient adopter willing to give her time to adjust.

Cricket is a quirky girl, she isnt a super outgoing & she is very shy, but she makes up for it in the most affectionate ways. She must go to a home with another dog. Another dog will show her that people are okay and will show her the ropes of a new home. Cricket has been living in a foster home with a family, multiple dogs and a cat. Cricket is a great couch cuddler and her favorite place is sitting under the table waiting for her tiny human to drop some food! Can you give Cricket a forever home? Email us & talk to her foster mom for more information.

Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.

Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery, rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dogs also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.

Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home. FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
