Dont let Zuris (aka Slim Shady) sloe-eyed beauty and long, languorous daytime naps fool you -- she loves to become active come the evening, bouncing on your lap while you watch TV and trying to eat your dessert of berries! Short but enthusiastic binkies in the morning. At her foster home, Slim Shady spends the day alternating between a window overlooking a garden and passerby and sleeping in a cool corner.



She is, well, double potty-trained: Shell go in her bin in her pen but then shell pick one other dark, private spot and use that. Put a bin in that spot and shell use the two spots exclusively. Her one introduction to another rabbit resulted in Zuri "trouncing" her colleague: She probably would be okay with another rabbit if appropriately introduced but shes quite fine on her own. 



Being a rabbit, she doesnt love being picked up but also doesnt struggle against it and will be fine if she is well supported while being snuggled. 

Chewing thick cardboard is her favorite thing (shes a chewer so give her lots of toys and cover up the wires, wood & plants in the lower 30" of your home). 



Slim Shady is very curious. Any yoga you do in her presence will eventually have her involved. Typical for her species, shell need some time to get used to you, but once she does, shes very comfortable with most anyone! She loves to lie down low and stretch long with her ears flattened to get sturdy body rubs! ("We should have named her Jet or Limo.") She quickly learns who to go to to get attention. With Zuri, you get back what you put in.

Please note that rabbits require large indoor spaces, not a hutch or small cage. There are simply too many dangers outside for a rabbit to thrive and survive. You are expected to make a lifetime commitment to your house rabbit, and they should be treated as an integral part of the family. The primary caregiver must be a responsible adult, and young children should always be supervised when interacting with your rabbit and instructed on proper approach and handling.



Rabbits are intelligent and social animals; they do best with a rabbit companion and need daily interaction with their human friends. Rabbits should be fed unlimited hay, a little high-quality hay pellets, and a fresh leafy green salad.



Your rabbit will need regular nail trims and annual vet checks. With proper care and lots of love, rabbits can live to be 10-12 years old.
