Bessy is a 4-year-old staffordshire terrier mix who is a bundle of love. At about 80lbs she is a big girl, with an even bigger heart. Bessy was transferred from the Trenton Animal Shelter after she had been found running loose as a stray. She was at that shelter for about a month before she was transferred to EASEL with the hopes of finding a home. Unfortunately, she has been overlooked for over a year since she has been here. She has been in foster homes and has been described as calm, affectionate, and very easy to manage. She has shuffled around a bit because foster homes are not permanent, and handles each move very well. Bessy must be the only pet in the home and would be happiest with children 12 years of age and up. She loves to go for walks and roll over for belly rubs. She is still a strong gal and would need an owner who could physically handle her. She has become a shelter favorite and every volunteer who walks her enjoys spending time with her. Bessy is housetrained and very neat both in the home and in her kennel. She is accepting of the crate, isnt the biggest fan of the vacuum, and loves stuffed toys. Bessy has been so patient day after day waiting for her forever family. We know they are out there somewhere; they just havent met her yet. Please adopt this big sweet girl!Adoption by appointment only with an approved adoption application. Please go to www.easelnj.org/adopt to submit an adoption application.
