Description:
My name is Bridget, but I dont really respond to it yet. I am about 4 months old and weigh 25 pounds. I am an Australian Shepherd mix. I love my toys and carry one with me just about everywhere I go. Sometimes I leave them outside. People make me a bit nervous and my foster family dogs are showing me that I can trust them. When they give me treats it helps overcome my fears. I love running around in the yard chasing and being chased by my foster sisters. Im a really playful puppy with lots of energy. When Ive finished with my running, its nap time, then its play time again. I am getting used to my collar and dont like being restricted by a leash. Maybe once I trust my people more I can get used to being on a leash, too. I have had a couple of accidents in the house, but its mostly been because of my nervousness getting the best of me when my people try to pick me up and take me to my bed. I dont mind being in a crate and have done very well sleeping through the night. As a puppy though, I do need to go out first thing in the morning and I let my people know when its time. Having the other dogs to follow sure helps me know what I am supposed to do. I think I would do really well in a home with another dog. I can be a bit mischievous, so my people keep a pretty close eye on me. Im really just curious and trying to learn about my new surroundings. Exercise and mental stimulation will tire me out so I dont do things Im not supposed to. I am generally a quiet dog and will do ok in an apartment as long as I can get some exercise. I sure do like having room to run. My new family will have to be patient with me. I am just a puppy and have a whole new world to learn. Most of all, I will need love and understanding so I can learn to trust.
