Description:
This very good girl, Kaytee, is currently being fostered in Washington, DC. She was surrendered to a Kentucky shelter with her 3 siblings, who were all adopted. ASF stepped up and rescued her. The vet estimates her to be around 4 months old and she may grow to be 40-50lbs. Kaytee is currently about 25lbs. We believe Kaytee may be an Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler mix, but we know for sure that she is 100% the sweetest puppy we’ve ever fostered! She is very calm and on the submissive side.

Kaytee loves people and is very friendly with other dogs. She loves to cuddle and is a huge snuggle bug. She has also done really well around small children we’ve met at the farmers market or walking in our neighborhood.

Kaytee is crate trained and at night she puts herself to bed in the crate. During the day, she likes to nap in the crate. We are working on potty training and since she’s still young she should not be left alone for extended periods of time.

Kaytee hasn’t had the opportunity to be cat tested, however, we’ve seen cats while walking and she hasn’t reacted to them. She also doesn’t seem to have a huge prey drive and isn’t interested in the birds or squirrels we’ve encountered on walks. Kaytee loves water!!! She loves running and splashing around in creeks!

Kaytee is a medium velcro pup. She likes to be able to see her people but is just as happy in her crate or right next to you. She walks well on a leash. She would do well as a solo dog or in a home with other pets. She is a special little girl with a very sweet and chill vibe.
