January will be at our open house Monday 10/10 from 3-5 pm at 106 Adams st Medfield if not adopted beforehand. Open houses are for approved adopters by appointment only (no walk ins). Apply today! Adoption coordinator Kathy Meet January! She is 15 lbs and we are not quite sure of her age (and she’s not telling!), but one vet said 5 and another said 10, so we are going with 7. She was found as a stray in the south. She has low-medium energy and enjoys napping, cuddling and chilling. She does not like to be left alone for long periods so is looking for a forever home where the family is around a lot and she can be the lap dog she was born to be. She can be a bit shy at first, but warms up. She’s fine with other dogs and the 10 year old child in one of her foster homes. She’s good with cats. She’s crate and house trained. She is a special urinary diet food to prevent stones (she had one when she was found). She is bald in some areas, mostly on her back. One vet said she has alopecia and another said it’s because she’s part Chinese Crested. Here is what her southern rescuers have to say about this wonderful girl “January is a very sweet girl who is looking for a forever home where she can just chill and cuddle up to her person under the blankets. We are not for sure exactly why she is bald in most areas as we have been told by one vet she is part Chinese crested and told by another vet she had Alopecia Areata. Whatever the reason is, she does not seem to be bothered by it. She is a true diamond in the ruff. January will make an amazing companion”. Adoption fee $500.
