Hello there. My name is Belladonna. I am a young beagle looking for my furever home. Because I am still really just a pup, I have an enormous amount of energy when I first wake up. For the first two to four hours of the day, I keep busy playing with my foster siblings – both canine and feline! Playing is the best thing ever! We play, we chase, we wrestle, and then we start all over again. Now thats a great workout.

I have been learning some things here in my foster home. For example, I know the commands "sit" and "come." I am also crate trained, and I am making great progress on my house training. My foster mom is even teaching me right from wrong. If I do something naughty, she uses that stern voice. Oops, now I know Im in trouble. So I hunch down a bit. Maybe she wont see me if I make myself small. But then I know not to do that again because humans dont like it.

Speaking of humans, I just LOVE them. People are able to give me all kinds of attention, such as belly rubs and ear scratches. And I am super affectionate to my people. Nothing beats snuggling with those you love.

I sure hope my new family enjoys being outdoors, because thats one of my favorite things. Going for walks is so exciting because I get to be outdoors sniffing all kinds of smells. You have no idea what youre missing! Just take me for a walk, and I will be in charge of tracking the scents. Yeah, I guess I do pull on my leash, but its only because I am so excited. Maybe my new family will include a marathon runner! Ha, ha, ha.

Chewing is one of my favorite pastimes. I will chew on whatever I can find, including Nylabones, cat toys, and blankets. I am beginning to learn what is for chewing and what is off limits. Apparently, Nylabones good, blankets bad. Hmmm, I thought both were equally enjoyable.
