Description:
Are you a fan of the paranormal? Would you like to find and rescue your very own supernatural spirit? It will take time and patience, but Ghost could be your ticket to discovering your own super powers (hint: it involves a lot of love).

First, the basics. Ghost is a 10 month old beagle, She weighs 18 lbs, is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all her shots.

Now, you are probably wondering, what is it that makes this dog so ghost-like? Ghost has the amazing ability to make herself disappear from a room right in front of your eyes. Ghost came to us from a situation where she may have never interacted with humans before and is very unsure of what to think of people. She has made a lot of progress in her foster home but there is still work to be done.

If you think you are up to the job of saving this spirit, there are a few tools you will need to help you uncover the amazing dog Ghost has hidden inside.

1. Patience. Boatloads of patience while Ghost learns that people are safe, treats are yummy, and pets feel soooo good.

2. Time. You cant track down a ghost in a single day. Its going to take time and consistency for her to learn to trust and build a bond.

3. Love. Every ounce of love you put into helping Ghost emerge from her shell will be returned to you 100 times over as you watch her transform.

Some other things that might be helpful:
A calm, confident dog companion (of similar size) to help her learn what it means to be a family dog.
A safe, quiet place she can retreat to when she needs her own space (she is not kennel trained but will go into her room in exchange for a treat).
Some potty pads while she continues working on house training. She is good during the day with access to the yard but still has nighttime accidents.

We have seen dogs like Ghost blossom into amazing companions given the opportunity to be in a loving, patient home. Could you be the one to help Ghost come out of her shell and discover the joy of being someones dog?

Ghost is being fostered in the Kansas City area with a $400 adoption fee. You can apply at www.bassetandbeagle.org.
