Dixie came to us after her new owners were moving and could no longer keep her. Her prior owner said she had lived with an 8 year old child, as well as dogs and a cat, and did fine with all. Currently in foster, she does well with her canine siblings, but does not live with cats, or young children. 

Dixie is currently on a diet to reduce some her extra weight! She will occasionally bark if she wants something, she is part beagle after all! Daisy is not shy and warms up to strangers within a few moments. New environments dont phase her and she has lots of energy! 

Dixie would do well with a fenced yard, considering her breed. Dixies foster mom is currently working on crate training and resource guarding with her. She does not resource guard with people, jut with other dogs. They are also working on crate training. Dixie has cherry eyes, which will be surgically removed. Were hoping she finds her forever home soon so she can heal up after surgery with her new family.
