*****Belgian Malinois Adoption requirements*****

The dog you have selected is a Belgian Malinois. This is a breed that has very specific needs for an adoptive home. Because of their need for a high level of exercise, both mentally and physically and their need for ongoing training, only applicants with demonstrated owner/handler experience with this breed will be considered. The vast majority of them are not best suited as family pets, but in homes with experienced handlers knowledgeable of their needs and breed characteristics. We will not place in homes with small children or small dogs/cats.

KIKA is a young belgian malinois, who was an owner surrender to Saving Paws Rescue. She had bilateral hip dysplasia, and underwent two unsuccessful surgeries. Since then, Kika had to battle an infection and undergo yet another surgery to assist with healing. Thanks to some wonderful volunteers & donors, Kika has been receiving medical care including hydrotherapy and physical therapy. Amidst all the hurdles, Kika continues to be a resilient spirit. Cases like this remind all of us of the importance of rescue - to provide a second chance to dogs whom others have already given up on.
If you can be Kikas person, the love that you will get in return will know no bounds! Support for our rescue can be in many forms (monetary donation, supplies, fosters, adopters), and allows us to continue stepping up for dogs who need medical assistance.

If you can give Kika an indoor forever home, please fill out our online application on our website at http://www.savingpawsrescueaz.org/adoption-form/

We will only schedule meet and greets with an approved application. We are an all-volunteer organization. It may take a couple of days to process an application and complete reference checks.

Thank you for your interest in saving a life!
