*****Belgian Malinois Adoption requirements*****
The dog you have selected is a Belgian Malinois. This is a breed that has very specific needs for an adoptive home. Because of their need for a high level of exercise, both mentally and physically and their need for ongoing training, only applicants with demonstrated owner/handler experience with this breed will be considered. The vast majority of them are not best suited as family pets, but in homes with experienced handlers knowledgeable of their needs and breed characteristics. We will not place in homes with small children or small dogs/cats.
Rain Rain go away—but NOT this Rain! This Rain wants to play and run and hike with her people. When she was brought to Heidi’s Village, she would run the fence and bark with her ears perked. She had been trained to run the perimeter of her yard and be always on alert. The Behavior Team and Volunteers have worked with Rain, and she is awesome now. We take her in the yard, and she now concentrates on the person playing with her and not the dogs passing by. When we approach the kennel door and ask her to “sit” she does and there is not one bark. She is highly trainable! Rain is active and she would be a fantastic running or hiking partner since she has a slim build and shorter coat. We are not sure how she would do with other dogs or cats in the house. Our volunteers are hoping a family comes to meet her so they can witness how sweet she is. If you would love to meet this athletic lady, please fill out a foster or adoption
If you can give Rain an indoor forever home, please fill out our online application on our website at http://www.savingpawsrescueaz.org/adoption-form/
We will only schedule meet and greets with an approved application. We are an all-volunteer organization. It may take a couple of days to process an application and complete reference checks.
Thank you for your interest in saving a life!
