She is a beautiful fawn color with the face of a wise old soul. Penny had a loving family for 3 years and recently was struck by a car. Sadly, her family could not take care of her and returned her to Niagara Dog Rescue. She was thoroughly checked out by a vet and besides being incontinent, she is a healthy, happy, and playful pup. She even enjoys zoomies when off leash. Penny will require diapers for the rest of her life but she can rock her pink frilly accessories as well as any girl! The other thing we know for sure about Penny is that she is very intelligent (given her breed that is not surprising!) She is a fast learner and loves to solve all the dog puzzle games! History: Penny was at conservation area and ran in front of truck, they tried to stop but slid on ice and pinned her, once the truck backed off she got in the car and was brought to Binbrook Animal Hospital. After blood work, xrays & multiple other tests it was determined that she may need tail amputation due to a broken tail / spine. Vet advised it was going to be tough surgery due to the location and there would be complications. Penny is incontinent and is doing amazing. Living her life pain free, the only thing is she does require diapers and she will go the washroom without realizing it
