Description:
Molly is 13 years old, and both her owners passed away. Can you imagine the kind of change that she is processing right now? Her owners were elderly and disabled so she didnt really leave the house for the last decade of her life. Much of her life, she lived with Lily, a 9-year-old smaller black lab mix (40 pounds), and because Molly had already lost so much, we couldnt take Lily from her as well. We are looking to adopt both girls together. Lily takes her responsibility as caretaker of Molly seriously and always knows where she is in the house or yard. More information about Molly can be found here: https://www.petfinder.com/dog/molly-lily-56387117/mi/holland/tysons-place-animal-rescue-mi973/

Tysons Place Animal Rescue assists terminally ill people with finding new families for their pets, and when we heard about Molly and Lilys plight, we took them both into the rescue. They are everything you love about labs - loyal, love going on walks, food motivated, good with respectful kids, housebroken, and friendly.
Molly was pretty depressed the first week or so with her foster family, but she is warming up and now loves playing with a puppy in the house!

Lily is quick to love and quick to ask for belly rubs and usually has a tail wagging, ready to be pet. She is looking to make up for lost time with all the love and attention she can soak up. She prefers the company of people over dogs and will lounge in your lap. Who says there is a size limit for a lap dog?

Because the girls hadnt seen a vet in several years, the first order of business was a thorough veterinary exam. Both girls have ear infections that are being treated but make require continued care, especially for Lily. They had full bloodwork, microchips, fecal check, heartworm test, heartworm and flea prevention, and vaccinations and are heathy for their age. Lily will need an adopter who is willing to get her a dental cleaning. We can assist with payment for this cleaning. They both need adopters willing to help them age gracefully, with joint supplements, pain medication if needed, orthopedic beds, and minimal stairs. If you are interested, please email tysonsplacerescue@gmail.com or fill out an adoption application at tysonsplacerescue.org.
