Description:
Mabel is a Black Lab/hound mix very pretty, and sweet. She loves to jump up and shower you with kisses. She know basic obedience, is house trained and needs work on leash training. She has had all shots and been treated for Heartworms. She has been retest and confirmed negative. She is great with kids and other dogs Once Properly Introduce.

As Mabel was originally pulled from a shelter in Louisiana to become a PTSD service dog for veterans, and it was found that Mabel had an abundance of energy that exceeded recommended levels for PTSD dogs, so she found herself with our group. We will foster her for a time and try to find her a home. She is being fostered in a home with a Diabetic Alert Dog and the Foster Dad suffers from severe hypoglycemia (low Blood Sugar). While she is here she sees all that is going on and has the opportunity learn and voluntarily step up and show she understands by alerting. But as yet has not showed interest in alerting!
