We didnt really believe in "black dog syndrome until we started fostering Imogene. How else do you explain how this sweet, small, loving, eager-to-please girl hasnt been adopted yet? Just because her fur is dark, she gets overlooked? How do you tell that to a pup thats just hoping to find a forever family to love her as much as shell love them...? Imogene is a genuine catch and youd be remiss to pass her up. Shes fully potty trained, knows basic commands, gently takes food, and is very polite. She is the perfect mix of goofy and cuddly. Shell make you laugh with her silly enthusiasm and hilarious expressions, and then snuggle up with you for love. Imogene is also very smart and really wants to impress her new family and so shes learning to "speak using dog talking buttons! Her new family will be sent home with her set, so she can continue her training, if youd like! She adores having her ears rubbed and will literally melt when you give her an ear massage or a tummy rub. Shes also likes to back her booty up and just stand frozen, to wait for back scratches. If you let her sit on the couch with you, she likes to wedge her body between you and the back of the couch, wanting to be as close as physically possible because shes such a little love bug. She will also sometimes ask you to hold her paw while you watch TV. She also hasnt met a crumb she doesnt like- Roomba? Your services are no longer required, Imogene will take over from here! Her body is hilariously compact too. Imagine you took a black lab and shrunk them down to the shape of a tiny hippopotamus- thats Imogene for you. To complete the image, she also has this little waddle that will make you burst into laughter and she likes to sit like a person, shes just so adorable. Although playful with typical bursts of excited lab-energy, she truly loves kids and all people. Shes the kind of dog that wants to make friends with everyone on her walks. While she would prefer to be an only dog, she promises to give you all the adoration you could ever want. Shes the sort of dog that people will stop to say hi to because her happy-go-lucky personality is just so infectious. You wont be able to help but smile when you meet her. Imogene is pretty darn close to perfect, and we just know shes the missing puzzle piece to someones life (and youre her missing piece)! If youve been looking to fill a little, loving, lab-shaped hole in your heart, Imogene is waiting for you! Adoption $400 To apply, visit www.wetnosesfosterpaws.org
