Description:
Lady’s name describes her to a T. Lady is an adult girl, 7-8 years old and is as calm and laid back as can be. Lady joined BAARK’s Safe House from Oklahoma; she and a younger dog were abandoned at an overcrowded understaffed animal control facility. Another group took Lady’s young friend, leaving behind this sweet senior to die.

We sure are glad we were alerted to Lady and her desperate situation. And so glad we could bring her to safety. Lady is a wonderful girl, deserving of a calm quiet home, and a family able to provide her the attention and love she so deserves.

Lady is believed to be a Border Collie Mix but is definitely on the larger size, at about 70 lbs. (She is not overweight; she’s in great shape and good physical condition.)

She is calm and good with other calm, older dogs. However overactive young dogs can annoy her. We have been told by Animal Control that she is good with cats. Lady’s favorite activities are lounging in the sun or hanging out with the people who love and care for her. She also enjoys walks and an occasional car ride.

An ideal home for Lady is an adult home (older children are ok), calm and attentive to her needs. She’d enjoy the company of another senior but would be find as an only dog as well.

Lady is fully vetted, up-to-date on all vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative and on year-round heartworm prevention. She is housebroken. Lady is not crated at night when her fosters are away and never has an accident or gets into anything. Lady is indeed…a perfect lady.
