NOTE: The mailbox petfinder sends the "Ask About" email inquiries to is not as closely monitored as the email address applications go to. That feature is a default with petfinder, and is not a part of our adoption process. The first step in our adoption process is the application. Completed applications take priority over inquiries. She will be a medium/large dog full grown. She is currently about 8 weeks old. Winnie and her siblings, Willy and Wally were found wandering a dirt road in rural Mississippi. The finger contacted one of our rescue partners who asked if we could help these babies out. We said yes and got them straight to our vet. They were loaded with internal and external parasites, but have been treated for everything and are feeling better and starting to act like curious, playful puppies. They also started their series of puppy shots as well. Winnie loves to be with her siblings. They active and wrestling and behaving like puppies show. They were really puny when they were rescued. But they were also full of worms and fleas and ticks which will make any puppy feel pretty sickly. They are really blossoming and learning to act like puppies should. They are curious and starting to become more confident and braver with every day. They are starting to venture out into the yard when outside on pretty days. They are learning to sleep in a crate at night. They are still super young and have a lot to learn. You are basically starting off with a clean slate when it comes to training puppies this young. They have been around other dogs and are really curious and somewhat confused about the cats they met. They would be a wonderful addition to any family. Winnie is up to date on age appropriate vaccines, spayed, microchipped and started on monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention. As with all of our dogs, we recommend a basic obedience class to help her understand what is expected of her, and this also helps with the bonding process. Winnie‘s adoption fee is $475, which covers all her vetting, preventatives, fostering costs and transportation. We do not adopt to anyone under the age of 21.
