Description:
Meet Herman: AKA Murphy He is a ~7 years young red Boston Terrier. General Behavior: This 20 lb ball of fun is always up for a good time. He loves to meet new people and dogs. His kitty foster sister taught him some cat manners and now the two happily ignore each other. In pure Boston terrier fashion, he will alert when someone comes to visit but quickly comes back to his foster mom for kisses and cuddles. Likes and Dislikes: While Murphy is a brave boy and enjoys playing with dogs of all sizes, he is afraid of thunder. He needs positive reinforcement and attention to help him get through the thunderstorms that hit South Florida. (He barks at the thunder!!) However, if it is sprinkling outside without thunder, Herman doesnt mind playing in the rain! He is cat friendly and respects boundaries. absolutely loves any and all toys. The squeakier the better! He also loves the pool! He enjoys jumping in and swimming around to cool off during these hot Miami days. Herman is crate trained. He is mostly potty trained, as long as he is taken out regularly. Sometimes he needs a belly band to prevent marking and tolerates it ok. Herman loves to go on leash walks and does well when walking with his foster siblings. Medical: Herman is a healthy boy, neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vaccinations. He takes monthly flea, tick and heartworm prevention medication. Herman does great with cats and dogs. He can be a little toy possessive but happily plays fetch with all his foster siblings. He would do well with other dogs in a home, as long as they are not too submissive. He is a friendly dog and does well with older kids. He is very active, so care should be taken with little kids. Herman likes to play outside, either playing fetch or chasing lizards.
