Description:
Gerbera was rescued from the county animal control where she had been turned in by her owner.

With a guesstimated birthday in Jan. 2016, Gerbera weighs about 50 lb.

Gerbera is friendly with strangers and tolerant of polite dogs when properly introduced. Shes lived her life with one family and been in the home.

Gerbera is leash savvy and rides well in a car. She prefers to wait to use the bathroom for leash walks or outside access, so we believe shes house-trained when kept on a regular schedule.

Gerbera has moved to a foster home from our shelter and her foster mom said shes awesome. She wants to follow her around in a loving way, not a separation anxiety way. She is fully house-trained and gentle when on the leash. She settled in easily and was grateful to be back in a home. Does it sound like shed fit in your home? Come meet her!

**********

Whether dogs / puppies come in as strays or owner surrenders, we usually have to make our best guess as to birthdate and breed.

If adopted into a home with other animals, particularly cats, your new pet should be crated or secured when youre not available to supervise to insure a harmonious relationship.

A vet reference is required to confirm responsible pet ownership. Requirement is a minimum three year vet history documenting current / previous pets are spayed / neutered, kept up to date on core vaccinations, and on heartworm prevention. We suggest first time pet owners without a vet history look for an adult dog for companionship and to gain experience. Other rescues or your local government-run animal control agency may have different adoption requirements.

Adoption fee covers two vaccinations. Additional fees for 3rd puppy vaccination, refundable spay/neuter deposit, etc. may apply.

We are an all-volunteer, foster-based rescue. We receive no funding from agencies.

Not all foster dogs are available for viewing during public events at Tractor Supply (360 Blowing Rock Blvd) in Lenoir, NC. Available animals can be seen most Saturdays at Tractor Supply in Lenoir from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We recommend interested parties contact us to pre-qualify for adoption so their new furry family can go home once paperwork is complete. Fees are required in cash. For more information on our organization, our website is www.petpartnersrescue.org.
