This precious lovebug is STILL waiting for her family! She has been sheltered far too long as she spent two years in a southern shelter before she came to Maine. The shelter environment is incredibly stressful for her. We just know that the Maine people will come through for her, so if you are looking for a best friend, look no further.
Tanzi is a 6.5-year-old boxer mix who arrived here to find her forever home so that she can experience all that Maine has to offer. A few things about this delightful goofball: She is fine with other dogs socially on walks, completely ignores them, and chooses not to interact but should be the only dog in the home. No cats please, and any children in the home should be old enough to be respectful of her but will need to come to the shelter to meet her to ensure it is a good fit for all. She is very friendly and outgoing. If you like to hang out and lounge, she is all for it, but she also loves to play with her squeaky toys and tennis balls! At the shelter, she appears to be housebroken but will likely need reinforcement once in a home environment.
We are networking for Greater Androscoggin Humane Society in Lewiston which had her transported here from their partner shelter in Virginia.
