Dog Story:
Meet Nena, a sweet, smart loving girl just looking for a lifetime of love and happiness! This girl will greet you each day with her contagious “Happy Smile” and her tail thump a thumping with JOY!!

She enjoys the yard, is good on leash and is up for the adventures of a car ride wherever the road will take her and her forever humans!

Nena does have one shortcoming though she does not like other pets period…. So she will need to be placed in home with NO other pets and a physically fenced yard. Nena is with a trainer currently who has been working on this but Nena has made little progress .

We are looking for a forever home or long term foster home for Nena if you are interested please fill out our adoption application at or and note Nena.

History – Nena was surrendered to a shelter by her owners when they could no longer care for her. When she came to ABR she was loaded with hookworms, thin, had a large mass on her left thigh and was heartworm positive. She is now spayed, hookworm free, on the slow kill method for heartworm and the mast cell tumor on her left thigh has been removed (grade II Patnalk system/ low grade Klupel system)

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
