Description:
Please contact Kelsey for more information about this pet.Hello everyone! My name is Nymeria (I was named after a dire wolf in Game of Thrones). Im a 6 year-old Brittany/Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever who weighs in at 40 pounds. Im very smart, lovable and affectionate towards humans. I love to cuddle and follow my humans around the house all day, that is when Im not running in my backyard or playing fetch. Yes, I do need a good-sized yard that is securely fenced (6 feet). I love long walks on the beach and love to run. My foster mom said I am the perfect dog when it comes to interacting with people.

I am housebroken and kennel trained and know basic commands. I learned the doggie door in a matter of seconds - Im just that smart. Im spayed, current on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on monthly flee and heartworm preventative.

Theres just one thing: I simply do not like other dogs. When I was a puppy I was mauled by another dog and I have never gotten over that assault. I must be the only dog in a home (no cats either). Im not the dog to take to a dog park nor to go on a walk with a friend and their dog. My foster mom is a very experienced dog handler so she can take me on walks where I leave other dogs alone, but thats because I know she has my back and will protect me. In general, I need to be walked where Im not going to be running into a lot of other dogs because it makes me very uncomfortable and I can reactive negatively. Just so you know, Nymeria was surrendered to NBRAN, not for this fear issue, but because her loving family were transferred overseas and could not take her with them. They dearly loved Nymeria and raised a pup who is fabulous with humans.

If you understand the conditions above and are interested in adding Nymeria to your home, please complete an online application at www.nbran.org (under the Adopt tab). Once youve completed your application you may email wanbran@comcast.net for more info or with questions. You will be contacted by your state coordinator once your application has been received. A telephone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process.

Transportation can be arranged up to 1400 miles (from LA) with the approved adopter being responsible for at least the last 100 miles. Preference will be given to approved adopters who live closer to Nymerias foster home.
