Description:
Lizzie was rescued from a local kill shelter where her beautiful notched-ear calico self had been brought in from the historical section of town. Shes young and super social so no clue who notched her ear or why anyone would trap and release this sweet girl or if that is even what happened. Not many barns where she came from so thats probably not her story. What is clear is no one came to claim her during her stray hold so Furry Friends brought her into their foster/adopt program. Lizzie is easygoing and sweet. She gets along with other cats. Dogs are an unknown but it is probably a good guess she would be fine with dogs, given her personality. If interested in meeting this pretty girl and possibly adopting, go to furryfriendsanimalrescue.org and submit an application. You will be contacted within 24 hours.

UPDATE: Lizzie was returned recently when we got this message from her adopter: "Hello, I adopted Lizzy about a month ago. And its not working out. Unfortunately, her meow annoys me, and she meows alot. She is too needy also. Follows me around everywhere and if I shut the door she claws at it and meows annoyingly. She might do better somewhere theres multiple pets to give her some entertainment." So Lizzie is now looking for a home that wants a cat that has a raspy meow and also wants lots of attention. She was in a good home but not the right home for her. Her previous adopter is a massage therapist that saw clients in his home. Lizzie didnt like being closed out of the massage room and his clients probably didnt like listening to her sing to them during their massage, although he did say some people thought her meow was cute. So now we know more about Lizzie and she wants a person she can be around all the time. In her foster home, she was not talkative so most likely this was because she was locked out of the massage room. If you are planning on locking a cat out of a certain area, she is probably not the best choice for you, but if you are looking for a cat that wants to be near you all the time and dont mind if she talks with a raspy little meow, check out Lizzie!
