Meet Swan! This lovely lady is looking for her forever family, and wants her new people to know these 10 things about her: 1.\tI am a Cane Corso and I am a senior. 2.\t When I first came to the Bullpen, I was nearly dead. I was emaciated, I could barely move, and my jaw was locked shut. I have come a long way since then, but I realize that a full recovery may never be possible. I am hoping that I can find a family that will love me as I am for the time that I have left, however long that might be. 3. \tI am a social girl that really likes almost everyone I meet. 4.\tI think I would do well in a home with children over 5, as long as they weren’t too loud or rambunctious and had some previous experience/training with big dogs. 5.\tI would love to be the center of attention with my new people, but I could also live in a home with basically any other kind of animal, as long as they weren’t too energetic. I’m an older girl and I like a calm, peaceful environment. 6. \t The words that best describe me are loving, sweet, and laid-back. 7.\tMy favorite things to do are taking naps and hanging with humans. I LOVE to eat as much as possible! 8.\tI am crate-trained and perfecting my housebreaking skills every day. As long as I can go out every 4 hours or so, I’m golden! I am also good on a leash. 9.\t I am fully vaccinated and microchipped. I will be spayed as soon as I am healthy enough. 10.\tI am heartworm positive, but I’ve started treatment, and will come with all the medicine needed to complete it at my new home. Ready to give Swan the forever home of her dreams? Fill out our Adoption Application, located at www.bullpenrescue.org under the work with us tab. We highly recommend that our potential adopters fill out an online application as soon as possible, as it greatly expedites the process of finding the right dog for your situation. Our dogs are available for adoption nationwide but preference is given to adopters willing to do an in-person meeting. Please understand that our dogs are not adopted on a first-come, first-serve basis, but rather we strive for a "perfect placement" so we know that they will not be failed again.
