The story of us!
Rodney, Camille and Jenny came to UnderDog on June 1st. Almost a year later, they are still with their foster mom. The dogs were part of a hoarding confiscation. Upon arrival, they were close to ferrel. It was like wild raccoons in a cage.  Today, they are happy and love their life. 
Both, Camille and Jenny were adopted around September. The two adopter homes were over the top fabulous. Both dogs, had severe separation anxiety from their foster mom and their little sibling pack.  Jenny was with an extraordinary woman for two months and never allowed the nice woman to get near her. Camille barked at the husband in her new home for two months and continued to show fearful behavior. Once returned, the dogs quickly adjusted and loved being with their siblings again.  
In the right environment, these dogs could flourish.  They are extremely happy with their foster mom and being together. Separating them causes anxiety and depression. 
UnderDog is looking for the perfect home for these dogs with the following criteria:
1. Would be willing to adopt a bonded pair and agree to never separate. 
2.  Female home only. 
3.  Secure fenced yard. 
4.  Willing to visit dogs at foster moms house and work on introduction process. 
5.  Sarasota/Bradenton/Venice adopters only. Foster mom not willing to travel again for potential adopters.  Applications outside of this area will not be considered. 
6.  Application must have solid vet reference, be dog savvy, understand this will be a process about love and patience. 
These three dogs came from the same hoarding confiscation.  They love to play in the yard.  They are approximately two years old and are all probably related to each other.  Could be siblings.  They get along wonderful with other dogs and ignore cats. They can briefly walk on a leash, but would do better in a secure yard.  They never stop playing and are always together. They will all three squeeze in one dog bed or sleep on top of each other in the bed at night.  They are extremely bonded. Adoption fee for two as a bonded pair $600.  Or $700 for all three...

All UnderDogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm checked, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and heartworm/flea/tick preventatives.  For consideration for one or more dogs, we require that an on-line application is filled out.

Sorry, we do not adopt outside of Florida.  Applicants are subject to a home visit, and veterinary references will be checked. Please include a vet reference (including phone number) when applying online.

Our application process:
FIRST, an application must be approved for adoption from our rescue.
SECOND, we determine whether the dog that has been applied for is a "good match" for the household that wants to adopt him/her.  We take into consideration the dogs activity level, compatibility with other members of the household (human and other pets), etc.
If your application has been approved, but the dog you applied for is no longer available, please take the time and look over our adoptable dogs again.  We will make every effort to find the right dog for an approved applicant.
