My name is Oakley. I am a Cavapoo and in the market for my first ever family. I am almost 2 years old and weigh appx 14lbs. I came from a breeding facility and once I was no longer needed I got to come to this nice rescue. Since I wasnt handled much while there I do have some issues to overcome and I am learning to be a dog. My foster mom explains it below.

 Still working on house training.  Doesnt like to go outsid and she also doesnt like for you to see her potty.  She will use pee pads most of the time and does not have accidents in her crate.  

Slowly working on leash training.  She was terrified of it at first (as well as us) so we have not done a lot of this since I have a fenced in yard.  A 6ft fence is necessary for her as well.  She jumps well over 4 ft up on the side of my 6 ft fence. 

Needs a fur sibling close in age to help her continue to learn how to be a dog.  An older dog would not be a good match for her energy level.  

She is excellent in her crate and likes to sleep in there during the day....I just leave the door open.  When I need her to go in it, I just tell her to "kennel up" and she runs in. I do crate her if I have to leave and no one is home to watch her.  I learned this the hard way after she dug up two house plants on two separate occasions.  She is a climber as well. 

Has been great with my 14 yo as well as my 8 yo niece.  She does like to jump and we are working on that.  I would recommend older children just because of her fears with new situations and not wanting small children to try and chase her.  

Doesnt like loud voices.  Storms dont seem to bother her.  

She is the sweetest dog, wants nothing more than to please her human and loves belly rubs once you have earned her trust.  Adopter will need to be patient with her as it is like living "groundhog day" over and over until she trusts you.
