Description:
Pepper came to us as a tiny three-month-old. Her left front leg had been broken and her owners brought her to a county shelter. Thankfully the fracture did not require surgery but Pepper had to go in to the vet every week for splint changes. With the good care of her foster mom and doctor, her leg has healed now and she is ready for adoption. Pepper is about six months old and she currently weighs around ten pounds. We believe she is a Terrier/Chihuahua mix and she will probably top out around 15 pounds. See the bottom left photo for an idea of her size in comparison to a large dog. Pepper is funny and frisky and she would be happiest in a home with at least one other playful dog. She is crate-trained and well on her way to becoming fully housetrained. Since Pepper has had lots of car rides to and from the vet she’s a perfect passenger to take along on your adventures. This little lovebug just wants to be with her people and you will certainly enjoy her company.

Pepper is currently being cared for in our Gwinnett Jaildogs Program. She is fully vetted -- spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative and current on her vaccinations and deworming. The adoption fee is $250. We accept payment in the form of cash, CashApp and Zelle. We are located in Lawrenceville, Georgia. We are not a shelter; we are a 501c rescue group. We do adopt to homes out of state but you must be willing to travel here in person — we do not transport our animals. If you would like to offer Pepper a home, please submit an adoption application at www.jaildogs.org. Please note, due to the high volume of interest we receive and the fact that we are all volunteers, we will not be able to respond to every adoption inquiry. If we feel you are a good fit for Pepper we will reach out to you by phone once your application is approved. Thanks for helping us find her forever home.
