Pet name:
Alice - A little spice but mostly nice!
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Alice is a senior chihuahua who is looking for a home! Alice is estimated at 12 years old. She arrived in May and needed some decompression time in her foster home to learn to trust and love again. We cant say what happened to Alice but she was terrified of humans when she ended up in the shelter in New Orleans, so terrified, she would not let anyone touch her.

It took about a week or so in foster care until she would allow basic pets. From there we worked on more pets, touch and love and eventually were were able to pick up Alice. She absolutely loves her foster mom now and her foster dog siblings and she is ready to find her forever.

Alice is an easy keeper. She is housebroken but would do best with a fenced yard as she is very sensitive around her neck and prefers not to be on a collar or leash. She is content to go out in the yard a few times a day, loves mealtime and loves to snuggle with mom on the couch or in bed. She is a perfect, easy girl for a quiet home. We dont think Alice will do well with kids or a busy house.

Alice has been fixed, microchipped and she is up to date on vaccines. Se tested negative for heartworm in April 2022. She also had a dental cleaning and some teeth pulled recently. Her adoption fee is $250.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
