Pet name:
Meet Gigi! Gigi is a 4.5 month old female chihuahua/jack russell terrier mix puppy. Gigi weighs about 6 pounds and should stay under 20 pounds full grown, but we cant promise that. Gigi arrived in rescue when her previous family realized they really were not up for caring for a puppy. Gigi has settled into foster care nicely, and is ready to find a forever family that is up for all things puppy - house training, leash training, socialization and learning what is ok to chew on and what isnt. Her foster mom says: Gigi is a very smart, sweet, feisty, playful and loving little pup. In typical puppy fashion she loves to play with her foster siblings even though they are quite a bit bigger than her. She runs around the back yard as fast as her little legs will go chasing them or being chased. It is funny to watch her and provides endless entertainment to the humans in her household. The backyard is her favorite place to sunbathe, explore and chew on sticks, leaves or whatever is interesting. When Gigi gets tired she will snuggle up with either another dog or on the lap of a human. She also likes to sleep in bed with everyone and will snuggle up next to her human and doesn’t move all night. Gigi is working on housebreaking and does well when she is taken outside frequently. She is pretty good on a leash but hasn’t quite made the connection that walking is for doing her “business” and not just exploring so she will definitely NEED a fenced yard. Although Gigi does ok home alone with her foster siblings for short periods, she prefers to have her humans around all the time. She is also very smart and always so happy and fun to be around. She would do best in a home with another playful pup, no small children and where she is not left alone for more than a couple hours.

Gigi is spayed, up to date on vaccines, on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped.

Gigi is fostered in the Orlando area, and her adoption donation is $325. If you are interested in applying to adopt Gigi, please visit to read the adoption process and complete an application! Please note that emails simply asking "Is this dog available" will not be returned, as applications are worked in the order received and availability largely depends on when you apply:) Please also know we do not adopt out of state! Thank you!

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
