Description:
Meet Ivy! Ivy is an approximately 4- 5 year old female chihuahua mix and she weighs about 10 pounds. Ivy arrived in rescue as part of a hoarding case, has settled into foster care and now she is now living her best life! Her foster mom says: Ivy is very energetic and would really love to join a family with another dog as she loves the company of other dogs, but she would be OK as an only dog as long as her humans were home most of the time. She loves loves to walk! She would be great with someone who wants a dog to walk with. She doesn’t bark at people or other dogs. She lives to chase geckos! While we have had her she has not met a cat so we don’t know how that would go. She loves her humans and wants to know where they are at all times. She would probably do best in a home where humans are around most of the day as she does have some separation anxiety. She is house trained on a schedule, as we try to take her out about every two hours and has caught on well to that routine. She also will use a puppy pad if that is her only choice at the time. A securely fenced yard would be wonderful as she is pretty small and loves to explore. Ivy can be quite vocal at times, especially when you return home and she is so excited to see you so shared walls may not work out well. She is a sweet and loving dog and deserves a great forever home. Experience with chihuahuas would be a plus as she can be quirky, like only wanting to sleep under the covers.

Ivy is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped and has had her teeth cleaned!

Ivy is fostered in the Orlando area, and her adoption donation is $300. If you are interested in applying to adopt Ivy, please visit www.floridalittledogrescue.com to read the adoption process and complete an application! Please note that emails simply asking "Is this dog available" will not be returned, as applications are worked in the order received and availability largely depends on when you apply:) Please also know we do not adopt out of state! Thank you!

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
