Description:
Little Brandy is here and looking for a patient, quiet home she can thrive in! She is a chihuahua mix or similar, estimated 4-5 years old and 13lbs, with with a soft blond coat and the tiniest little paws. Brandy came to us from another rescue in Puerto Rico after her foster mom was tragically killed, and not much is known about her life prior. She is very timid and unsocialized, but has started to come around and shows us how sweet she is daily. She will wiggle and wag just out of reach, and loves giving gentle timid kisses to the patient person who gives her enough space and time to approach. Brandy is slightly overweight and loves her food for sure! She is VERY food motivated and the way to her heart is certainly her belly. She is still learning that she is safe and able to be a dog, and will take a lot of time to adjust to a new home. She needs ground up leash training, socialization, and potty training, though she is smart and the only thing holding her back is confidence. We will *require* her adopter to have a secure fenced yard and experience, patience, and lots of love to give her. Another dog in the home is a definite plus, and preferred. Brandy is very attached to Anna, and although they can be adopted separately, we would be thrilled to find a home with both together.

Brandy is heartworm positive and is available as a foster-to-adopt through her treatment, which will be completed in mid- December. Once heartworm negative, she will be officially adopted by her lucky foster family. Canine Estates will pay for all heartworm treatment and other medical through the foster period, and her future owners will be responsible for bringing her to and from our vet in Tarpon Springs monthly until December. Due to the location of our vet, we do require future adopters to be local to Pinellas or Pasco County.

Please fill out an application and we will call you once approved to set up a meet and greet. If you have any questions, email director@canineestates.com or call 727-412-0558
