Description:
Have you ever wanted a real-life teddy bear? Well here is your chance …. Meet Sheba! Sheba is a super-soft and fluffy approximately 8-month old pure bred Chow (no paperwork). She is petite, currently weighing in at 36 pounds. Sheba may give a new person an introductory growl just to let you know she is a tough gal, but once she has sniffed you, she is an absolute doll. She loves to snuggle, and she is crate trained. She is almost completely house-broken, which she learned in record time. Sheba is currently living with two older (and larger) dogs, as well as a cat, and she gets along with all of them. Sheba is really just learning how to be a puppy …. She loves all of her toys, although absent hoarding them under her foster parents’ bed, she isn’t really sure what to do with them yet. But she does know she likes being with her person and “guarding” her back yard – barking at the neighbor is super fun! Sheba’s new fur-ever home should be willing to spend time socializing Sheba due to her breed; she is currently doing very well with all of her activities, but further reinforcement and exposure to new things will be super-important to ensure she remains an awesome ball of fluff!
Sheba asks that you please ignore her eyes right now, as she recently had entroprian surgery. The surgeon says she is recovering nicely, so we expect a successful outcome. Sheba also has an issue with a kneecap on her back leg that is likely to require surgery when she is older, so any potential adopter must be willing to make this investment. This issue does not stop her from running and playing, although she does not jump and politely asks that you lift her up on to the couch or bed so she can snuggle with you. Otherwise, Sheba is spayed and has all of her shots …. She just needs her new family! Sheba is currently being fostered in South Tampa, and her adoption fee is $300.
