This would be a true rescue adoption. This girl is loving with time but also has
trust issues from street life. But she so wants a home. However she has strikes
against her. As you can see life on the streets has not been kind to her. She caught
a virus known as FIV. Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) is one of the most common
and consequential infectious diseases of cats around the world. In infected cats,
FIV attacks the immune system, leaving the cat vulnerable to many other infections.
Although cats infected with FIV may appear normal for years, they eventually suffer
from immune deficiency, which allows normally harmless bacteria, viruses, protozoa,
and fungi found in the everyday environment to potentially cause severe illnesses.
Though there is no cure for FIV, recent studies suggest that cats with FIV commonly
live average life spans. The primary mode of transmission for FIV is through bite
wounds from an infected cat. Casual, non-aggressive contact, such as sharing water
bowls or mutual grooming, does not appear to be an efficient route of spreading the
virus. As a result, cats in households with stable social structures where housemates
do not fight are at little risk of acquiring FIV infections And this is what happened
to this cat, she was attacked by a cat who had the virus. And this attack caused this
girl to be shut out of having a wonderful life in a great home as most people fear FIV. Educate yourself about it. And open your heart and adopt this sweet rescue cat. We are adding this cat to our list as a kind lady reached out for help with her. If she cannot find placement she will return to the streets as the lady cannot take her home. She came in with her mate Oliver who also has the same condition. Thank you for your interest in a Catsnap cat or kitten!

If you would like to meet a cat, please complete the online application
located on our website catsnap.org.

We do not have a walk-in facility; most of our cats are in foster homes.
For this reason, we require an approved application on file before we set
up a meet and greet.

Completing an online application does not obligate you to adopt! We care
deeply about our cats and want the best match for all involved.
