1/1/17 When Kona came to AC PAW after her owner died, she was quite scared in her new situation. She had a lot of cattitude and could be quite sassy and hissy. She took a couple of months to trust her new foster people, but now she has relaxed and become a sweet, friendly girl who can still, however, occasionally be a little feisty. Kona is outgoing and active, likes to watch out the window and chatter at birds and squirrels, and, of course, likes to distract you by walking across the computer keyboard while youre working. Kona has long, luxurious black hair, a puffy tail, and gorgeous green eyes. Because a couple of her front teeth needed to be removed, sometimes her cute pink tongue peeks out. While most cats are so light on their feet you cant hear them walking, Kona has an unusually heavy footfall you can hear on wood floors. It has earned her the nickname Thumper. Like many cats, Kona likes attention on her terms. She loves to be brushed and petted and to be around her people, but when shes had enough attention she may let you know with a swat of her paw. She is not a good choice for homes with little kids. Although Kona lives with other cats, shes bossy and may do better as the only cat in her home. She is cautious of the dog in her foster home, but they get along fine. A friendly dog in her new home would be okay.
