*** If you have any questions or would like to meet any of our adoptable cats, please email catadoptions@nawsus.org. This is the easiest way to reach us. Please include a cell number and check your SPAM folder if you do not receive a timely response. This gorgeous long-haired girl is Lillibeth - she was rescued from a high kill shelter in southern Illinois where she was at risk of being euthanized. She made the long trip north to NAWS with hopes of finding a loving and safe forever home. Lillibeth is a curious, friendly and interactive girl. She will greet everyone that stops to visit with her, and often looks for some pets and attention. She has a bit of sass at times, and knows what she likes, so an adopter with cat experience is preferred. She prefers pets near her head and neck, rather than down her back. She is gorgeous with her longer coat and poofy tail. When Lillibeth first arrived at our rescue, she has some wounds/skin irritation on her back. After extensive testing, it was determined that she likely has food allergies. She was placed on a diet of hypoallergenic food and has responded favorably. Her skin has healed and improved greatly. It is recommended that Lillibeth be kept on a diet of this type of food for the long term to prevent further issues. All NAWS cats are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped and up to date on vaccines. A Cat Adoption Application is required should you decide you’d like to apply to adopt a NAWS cat. Please complete and submit the application electronically on our website at http://www.nawsus.org.
