Fun fact: Gogurt loves cucumbers!

Like any teenager, Gogurt is sometimes silly, sometimes bursting with non-stop energy, and sometimes very sweet and snuggly.

She instantly made friends with her fosters two adult cats, and loves playing run-and-chase with them. Shes also an ace when it comes to batting ping pong balls around the house. New sounds may spook her, but she adapts to them quickly.

Gogurt is generally pretty quiet, but she will sing with excitement when youre preparing her food. Shes a cuddly girl who like to sleep on or right next to her foster at night. She gets along well with kids as well as with adults.

Gogurt is a special girl with some special needs. She is urinary incontinent due to a congenital malformation. She needs her bladder expressed 3-4 times a day - that means gently pressing on it to help her go - and thats an easy thing to learn! Shes also fecal incontinent; we think this may be due to an injury that caused her to lose feeling and muscle control in her anal area. Shes on some medications that she will need long-term, but she takes them easily when theyre mixed into her wet food.

While Gogurt requires some extra medical care, which may include a regulated diet and/or manual expression, she is easy to care for. And in every other way, she is a typical cat - fun, loving, and a great companion! Contact APA! for information on how to care for Gogurt.

The beauty of animals is that they never feel sorry for themselves. Gogurt doesnt let her medical issues stop her from relishing life and having fun every day. She really is an inspiration!
