Meet Dottie! Dottie is a shy girl but incredibly sweet. She will need a patient adopter willing to give her time to adjust and build confidence that she is in a safe place. As of 7/18/22, Dottie is 13 weeks old and has been in my foster care for 3 weeks. She greets me with ankle rubs to get my attention and then jumps onto her perch so she can sprawl out for a pet session. As she continues to gain confidence she is starting to venture out of her safe zone to explore and observe. She enjoys playing with my resident cats, chasing laser pointers and her plush mouse toy. She is still nervous around our dog and small kids and would likely do best in a quiet home. Dottie has a genetic condition called pectus excavatum where her sternum sinks down into her chest cavity, because of this she breathes faster and doesnt have as much energy as other kittens her age. Despite her condition Dottie doesnt appear to be in any discomfort, but a potential adopter should be aware surgery to treat her condition in the future may be necessary. Interested in this sweet kitten? Apply today at http://www.underdogpetrescue.org/cat-application **Please note: Our animals live in foster homes throughout the Madison area. We do not have a shelter where animals are available for daily viewing.
