Description:
Hello my name is Maria!\xa0 I was rescued from the NYC shelter when I was placed at risk because I got very stressed\xa0 there and scratched one of the staff...Now I am\xa0 safe in foster care.\xa0 I am sweet and beautiful, I do love my human who takes care of me.\xa0 I am not used to other kitties, so foster care is a little challenging for me.\xa0 I would do best in a home without other cats if possible and a home with kids over 16 years old.\xa0 \xa0I do play rough and I am learning to keep my hands to myself!\xa0\xa0I would love to find a new family who will love me for the rest of my life.\xa0 I am healthy, vaccinated, spayed and ready for adoption.\xa0 I just need to find the right home for me!\xa0 \xa0

**If you are interested in meeting or adopting Maria...please read the following!

1. If she is posted on petfinder.com, she is still available for adoption or may have an adoption pending. Please do not email us asking ifs hes available instead, please complete our adoption application, link below.

2. We have limited staff to manage the amount of adoption inquiries and individual questions we receive on all of our adoptable cats and therefore we do not respond to emails or phone calls about the cats posted unless there is an adoption application sent in first.

3. If you want to explore options about adopting a cat from us, or have questions about a cat seen online, please complete our adoption application first. We review applications on a first come, first serve basis. It may take 3-5 business days for us to respond to your application. We will not respond to your application if we have either; found an adopter, or believe your home/situation is not the best fit for the cat. Our goal is to insure the highest possibility of a successful adoption that lasts the cats entire lifetime.

**Please be sure to check your spam or junk email folders for our response to you as many of our response emails are sent here!!

Please complete the adoption application which can be found on our website;
