Zola is a shy, affectionate 11-year-old cat looking for her forever home! Zola is looking for someone to accept her for who she is. It takes her time to open up--it could take her several months to allow her family to hold her. But once she realizes she is welcome, accepted, and loved, she will blossom into a loving, affectionate cuddlebug. She loves to sleep in her foster moms lap while shes working and join in morning yoga poses. Nap time is her favorite, when Zola can cuddle up and join in sweet dreams. Zola is great with a scratching post, she avoids furniture and doesnt knock things off counters. She does love her bell toys and hiding under things until her foster mom gets home. Zola is quite mellow most of the day, but when its time for breakfast she wants all the attention! She loves her breakfast! Throughout the day, she likes to nap, look out the window and sleep in her kitty condo. Zola is living in a 1 br apartment, there is a small resident dog that she tolerates, but shes not a big fan. As long as she has a window to look out, shes happy. Zola would be a fantastic companion for someone who isnt home all the time. She likes her alone time and tends to be more comfortable when she isnt fawned over. She loves her morning greetings and her evening cuddles. Too much attention and she gets grumpy! When shes affectionate, she LOVES to nuzzle, but after shes gotten her dose of attention she may just disappear until the morning. Zola was bullied by other cats in the past, so a home without cats would be good for her. She does tend to jab her paws when shes unhappy, so a home without children is best. Zola is looking for a home with a patient and calm companion. She gets uncomfortable with too much attention, but a little whisper from across the room and shell come running. A home that understands her need for extra time would be ideal. Zola will be an amazing companion, but she does take time to open up. She took several months to show her foster mom her love and affection, now they take naps together, and Zola loves to give hugs and be held. This will take time, so a home that understands she will open up with enough patience and understanding will receive the wonderful reward of Zolas true personality.
